Why Plant Hire Insurance?
If you hire in plant and equipment, chances are the owner of the equipment will make you responsible for any damage or theft. 'Hired In Plant Insurance' will cover the equipment and your liability to the owner.
If you hire out plant, it needs to be insured whether it is in your yard or out on hire. You must ensure that you have terms in place that makes your customer responsible for the plant in case of damage or theft (CPA conditions). If the plant is a wheeled machine (such as a rubber duck), you'll also need Motor Insurance
