Shine Manchester
On the 17th April 2010 at 10pm, MCM Insurance are proud to say that Ella Hall and Jayne Hughes are taking part in Shine Manchester, a unique night-time walking event in aid of Cancer Research UK (the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research).
Shine Manchester is a unisex event that allows the fundraiser to choose how the money they have raised is used, such as supporting Pancreatic Cancer or Skin Cancer or general cancer research.
The walk itself is either 26 miles or 13 miles, starting at the G-Mex and taking a route through town, out to Trafford Park, past the home of Manchester United, through to Moss Side and then continuing down to Didsbury. At this point, the route starts to work back towards the finish line - past Whitworth Park and the Museum of Science and Industry before finally reaching the long awaited finish line at G-Mex.
Ella Hall will be walking 26 miles in aid of Children's Cancer Research - a cause with particular significance due to a recent family scare involving her 6 year old nephew.
