Business Continuity
Case Study - Photo Processing Company
ISS Damage Control has been praised by a major photo processing company for helping to
safeguard its business following the Buncefield disaster.
The company had recently moved into its new UK headquarters - located just 200 yards away
from the oil storage depot when Britain's biggest peacetime explosion hit.
The company's disaster recovery programme had them operational the next day in emergency
accommodation in their Harrow facility, so that their critical business operations
continued.
Then within 25 working days of calling in ISS Damage Control, 272 employees had been
re-located back to their old building and the business was fully back up and running.
"It was essential that we were able to recover and clean out our assets as quickly as
possible to facilitate our plans to move into our temporary accommodation." - Operations Manager
More than 75 percent of key assets were resorted, significantly limiting financial losses
through replacement and drastically reducing the cost of business interruption. May 2007
